At Vision Systems, a business unit of Gauzy, we are market leaders in shading systems focused on the development, design, and manufacturing of comprehensive, customized award-winning products for aviation, marine, and special vehicles.

We are looking for a Production Manager for our Florida site, which comprises fewer than 25 associates across production, supply chain, engineering, quality, and supporting functions. As the Production Manager, you will be leading the production department to meet production goals, achieve delivery, safety, quality, and cost in order to assure products meet all necessary requirements before they reach the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Manage teams of Technicians and Assemblers by ensuring they have tools, training, and proper support to complete all tasks and resource conservation.
  • Create and maintain production schedules to ensure efficient use of resources and timely delivery of products.
  • Supervises and evaluates the performance of all production personnel.
  • Determines personnel, material, and tool resource needs.
  • Maintaining the required output and ensuring alignment with the production plan to uphold on-time delivery performance.
  • Ensuring materials (raw materials and in-process) support the production plan.
  • Playing a pivotal role in new programs set to be transferred to production on the site, including preparations for industrialization, tools, and supporting machinery.
  • Establishing communication and working relationships with internal and external entities, including customers, Vision systems in France, HQ in Israel, subcontractors, the supply chain, and other stakeholders. 
  • Ensures production output meets quality and customer standards.
  • Maintains procedures to ensure compliance with the Quality Manual and regulatory requirements.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures (both in-house and regulatory) to decrease the potential for employee injuries on the job.
  • Ensure all resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a supervisory capacity – a must
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 standards
  • 5 + Years of manufacturing management experience – a must
  • Hands-on involvement when necessary
  • Knowledge of industrialization - an advantage 
  • Ability to read drawings – a must
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing processes
  • Organizational skills and willingness to assume accountability for manufacturing
  • Aerospace or similar manufacturing background is strongly desired
